Regional Cracks

Lots of talk have been going on in the region about the cracks and stagnation plaguing the Middle East. Setting academia aside, and using intuition generated from experience and instinct, I would say that perspective is key word.

Narrow and too subjective frames of reference are usually used in understanding and mapping the social and global worlds. Such deficiency might be responsible for the mad resistance to religious reform, impedence to Democratization, and constricted social and economic horizons. It is like people are cocooned and they walk without raising their heads from the ground. They are stuck in their too little Worlds and are afraid of fully engaging age, environment, and World. All signs of a centuries-old traumatic historical experience.
